The Museum of Natural History of Crete (ΜΦΙΚ) offers its visitors a unique experience, showing in its exhibition spaces, in an impressive and innovative way, the natural environment of Crete compared to that of Greece and the eastern Mediterranean.
At the four different levels of the exhibition, visitors can browse:
- in Diorama, that is to say representations of nature in natural size
- in Giantio Dinothyrios, the largest prehistoric animal in Crete that lived on the island 8,5 million years ago
- in Live Museum, with live animals typical of the area
- in the area of Investigation, a space specially designed for children where they can explore the nature of Crete through interactive games.
